Earthly Wonder

-William Morris, architecture jewelry, ye olde curiosity, and drama in the sky

A good friend of ours told us about the William Morris show at Abmeyer + Wood for First Thursday.  It was a LOT of work that hadn’t been up for sale before.  It is well worth checking out if you can.  The price list seemed a lot heavier once I read the prices.  He is one of Frank’s favorite-of-all-time artists.  His work doesn’t make my heart leap like it makes Frank’s, but William Morris’ pieces are extremely beautiful.  I couldn’t take pictures while inside but here is a link to the gallery’s website and they have pics and prices. http://www.abmeyerwood.com/index.cfm Most of the pieces were on the small side by the way.

Some building jewelry I liked…

More architecture jewelry

If you haven’t been to Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, please try and see it. It is super funky and usually smells that way too. 😀 My gentle advice is to look up.

And for the skyline drama. No camera can capture the grandeur of our natural skyline here in Seattle…

Overall, it turned out to be a great evening even though we ran out of time to see the rest of the artwalk!
